Nature and Scope of Job

A hand’s on and proactive senior role within the Keith Prowse business, responsible for the leadership, management and performance of a sales team, ensuring that they achieve their hospitality sales targets. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an established sales manager who is looking to take on the management of a team of professional sales individuals achieving upwards of a million pounds worth of sales each. You must be organised, structured, willing and ready to take on a challenge.

Immediate Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing induction and onboarding programme for new team members
  2. Working with Head of Sales / Finance / ESM’s on Target Setting for team members
  3. Setting KPIs and Objective / PDRs for team members
  4. Working with ESM’s to create pipelines for tea
  5. Pipeline management
  6. Goal creation for teams
  7. Lead Resourcing and database management
  8. Meeting own sales targets
  9. Resolving sales people / customer disputes
  10. Flexi Hours, holidays and diary management
  11. General day to day support for Sales team
  12. Interviewing / Recruiting for new team members
  13. Management of contact / lead ownership on CRM
  14. Management of team focus eg: call stats and activity by event etc
  15. Supporting the team on meetings / show-arounds
  16. Performance Management of the team to the required level
  17. Management of forecasts with Head of Sales / Finance / ESM’s
  18. Working with Head of Sales and ESM’s to ensure the team have sufficient leads
  19. Lead and inspire a performance-oriented sales culture throughout
  20. Responsible for the achievement of the team’s annual hospitality sales budget.
  21. Ensuring team are selling at required pace.
  22. Management of the team to ensure they are on pace with their targets, supporting where required on generating new business

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Maturity and Confidence
  • Must have the ability to proactively manage, support and motivate a sales team
  • Credible hospitality industry experience
  • Must have experience of producing sales proposals and have great attention to detail
  • A track record of hospitality sales delivery and achievement of growth targets.
  • Experience of performing within a commission-based sales environment.
  • A keen networker with the ability and ambition to hunt out sales prospects.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and accomplished in show rounds
  • Must show initiative and be a confident decision maker
  • Must be able to establish positive working relationships and command the respect of others.
  • Will have a generally outgoing personality and enjoy social interaction
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and potential clients, with employees from all parts of the company and able to present a highly professional image when representing the Company.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain focus in the achievement of sales targets
  • Must demonstrate a thorough approach to work and be a positive role model for the team
  • Must be able to organise him / herself and others effectively.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Office, Power BI and CRM (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and have a good understanding of database management.
  • Will have excellent communication skills, verbally both on the phone and in person, and written.
  • Will be an effective team worker as effective interaction with various stakeholder departments is crucial.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Experienced customer relationship manager with strong evidence to demonstrate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- adept at questioning and listening.
  • Results driven and motivated to achieve targets.
