Formula E at a glance

 Formula E – motorsports exciting, premier all-electric racing championship is speeding to the ExCeL Centre in London.

After last year’s cancellation, the E-Prix is racing back to London this July for the finale of the 2020/21 championship season, and is guaranteed to be worth the wait! With 9 different race winners out of the 13 races in the 2018/19 season – the whole championship could well be decided in London!

The exciting race will utilise a 2.4km indoor/outdoor circuit, with the starting grid located inside the ExCeL London. This unique indoor/outdoor track is the first of its kind in motorsport and will weave in, out and around London’s iconic Royal Docks and run along the historic waterfront of the River Thames, meaning fans are able to enjoy spectacular views of London in addition to spine tingling racing!

Founded in 2014, Formula E was awarded World Championship status for the 2020/21 season and is made up of 14 thrilling races, 12 unique Formula E teams, 22 top tier drivers, and has races occurring across the world, covering 12 different countries including Germany, the United States and Saudi Arabia.

The new Gen2 Formula E cars can reach phenomenal speeds of up to 280km/h, all generated from their battery which kicks out an impressive 250KW - that’s a lot of horse power to experience speeding past you. All of which is sure to make for an incredible race and an action-packed season finale in London!
