An exciting year of cricket at Edgbaston

April 23, 2021

2021 cricket has certainly had its fair share of highs and lows, even before entering the summer season.

The year started with a triumph for England, after storming to six and seven wicket wins in their two-day series against Sri Lanka. However, England has some serious work to do after losing a three-fixture streak to India, suffering defeats in the Test match series, T20 and ODI respectively. We must not forget that, despite the losses this year, England have played some world-class cricket; Ben Stokes’ boisterous 99 and Jonny Bairstow’s brilliant hundred runs in the second ODI against India proves that this team aren’t ones to rule out this year.

Things may be tough right now, but the good times are making a big return! So, why not start planning your summer of cricket.

We can guarantee that we are working hard to prepare and deliver the most outstanding hospitality packages for all you cricket fans. If you’re considering cricket hospitality for this summer, then you have come to the right place – here’s your guide to an exciting year of cricket at Edgbaston ahead…

Test match series – vs New Zealand: Thurs 10 June – Mon 14 June

England will kick off their home summer against the world class team that is, New Zealand. This will be the second Test match series, with the first taking place at Lord’s. England will welcome New Zealand to Edgbaston Stadium for the first time since 1999, when the home bagged a comfortable 7-wicket win.

England last played New Zealand in 2019, losing a Two-test series 1-0. England will certainly be looking to, not only repair the damage, but also bag a win against the world Number 1s on home turf. What a way to kickstart the summer!

Edgbaston is a ground that is renowned for its atmosphere and offers a variety of hospitality packages. For a more informal, relaxed atmosphere, you can choose our Experience Club package. Or, combine world-class cricket with first-class dining in the 1882 Club, or Warwickshire Suite. For those of you who prefer a little privacy, then we also offer formal box packages with our Executive and Res Wyatt Boxes.

This game is a typical sell-out, due to its incredible atmosphere and exhilarating game pace. Yes, ODI is a form of limited overs cricket, however the hospitality and cricketing experience is nothing short of limitless. Find out more here.
