The 2021 Championships, Wimbledon, was another huge success and after a year of uncertainty and apprehension, the long-awaited tournament certainly did not disappoint and brought back hope to many as crowds were present and roaring once again. Sports fans have been longing for the day when live sport could return with the added buzz of passionate, excited crowds to spur athletes on and raise spirits during tough, intense matches.
As the oldest tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon exerts elegance, luxury and style which is elevated in the hospitality experiences provided at the tournament. This year, The Skyview Suites and The Lawn launched into action to welcome guests and provide a premium, unparalleled experience to heighten their day. We were delighted to see guests back at our facilities and wanted to ensure that enjoyable and elite experiences were delivered after such a difficult year and a half. We’re sad that Wimbledon is over for this year, so we have decided to reflect on such a fantastic two weeks at The Championships.
The Lawn
Situated just a short stroll away from the Wimbledon grounds, The Lawn is a luxurious, spacious and relaxed facility that offers award-winning official hospitality for guests looking to take their Wimbledon experience to the next level. Guests enjoyed soaking up the glorious sunshine in The Lawn’s English Garden, sipping on bespoke cocktails and an á la carte menu designed and served by Michel Roux and his daughter Emily. From arrival all the way through to the end of the day, guests could be sure of receiving seamless quality service so their day can be as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
Whatever your tipple, you can be sure to find your new favourite drink of the day. The only difficult task is deciding which of the many exquisite cocktails to drink! Espresso martinis, Grey Goose Le Fizz, Aztec Gold and Sunset Sbagliato were among the favourite tipples of choice made by the talented mixologists, which both looked and tasted incredible.
As always, Michel and Emily Roux did not disappoint and delivered exceptional, delicious food throughout the day. An elaborate seafood platter with lobster, prawns, crab, salmon and mussels was a popular choice on the á la carte lunch menu. Traditional afternoon tea with a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and strawberries & cream (of course) was served in the afternoon to restore energy levels after nail-biting matches!
One of our guests at The Lawn, Bonnie Rakhit, said that her experience was “a lovely and indulgent way to spend the day.” The travel and fashion blogger described The Lawn suite to be “like retreating to a beautiful oasis of calm, away from the crowds, where there’s classical music playing, delicious food, free flowing cocktails, luxury toilet facilities and the perfect summer event atmosphere.”
To end the day, guests were able to make the most of the sunshine by enjoying a drink in the garden and relaxing by dipping their feet into the foot stream.

Skyview Suites
The Skyview facility is located in close proximity to all of the action-packed tennis in Centre Court, metres away from match seats to reduce the time it takes to get guest’s hands on some delicious food and drinks! Guests can enjoy a private balcony with great views elevated above the crowds, a personal suite hostess service and a personable, intimate dining experience – perfect to entertain clients or enjoy time with close family and friends.
Guests were greeted with a vintage champagne reception and were able to make frequent visits to the complimentary bar to stay hydrated throughout the day! The stunning views over the Wimbledon grounds make the experience even more immersive and authentic, allowing guests to soak up more of the action while they’re away from the court.
The 4 course á la carte menu, designed by award-winning chefs, was a great hit which was accompanied by specially selected upgraded wines. A premium afternoon tea was served for guests to indulge in, consisting of hand-crafted cakes and pastries, a cheese course and strawberries and cream – what more could you want?
