Hospitality at Wimbledon is Evolving - Introducing The Treehouse on The Lawn.
The Treehouse is Keith Prowse’s brand-new premium informal hospitality experience launching at The Championships, Wimbledon in 2022. Unlike anything seen at Wimbledon before, The Treehouse will offer a flexible space with no set seating or agenda, allowing guests to tailor their day to suit their requirements.
Keith Prowse are proud to be the AELTC’s exclusive official hospitality partner, already offering award-winning, premium experiences at The Championships, Wimbledon. The contract, which has recently been extended, will now run until at least 2026 and allows for further innovation of the portfolio, starting with the launch of The Treehouse.
Wimbledon exudes elegance, luxury and style, and it was important to accentuate these qualities when designing and creating the new, sophisticated Treehouse space. Perched above The Lawn, The Treehouse is situated just a short stroll away from the Wimbledon Grounds.
Stunning interiors, luxurious furnishings, live DJs and relaxed lounge areas make for an immersive experience, designed for guests looking to take their Wimbledon experience to the next level. A spacious balcony overlooking the luxurious garden (which is also accessible to guests) and the lake and City beyond, allows guests to seamlessly move between outside and indoor settings.
Featuring menus delivered in partnership with Tom Sellers - Chef Patron of the 2 Michelin-Star Restaurant Story, the new space will be a foodies’ wonderland, ensuring it is entirely different to any existing experience on offer.
With no set schedule, The Treehouse menu offers guests more freedom to enjoy food and drink at their leisure, with the opportunity to build their day around matches and experience The Championships at their own pace.
Tom Sellers has created a bespoke menu based around premium British produce, which is available exclusively at The Treehouse. Live cooking stations and interactive food displays including the iconic ‘Bird Cage’ feature, add a unique, experiential element to the hospitality space. Tom Sellers initially started his career like many great chefs – washing pots in a local pub. Fast forward 16 years and he has worked across the globe for chefs such as Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller at The French Laundry and René Redzepi at Noma, before opening London-based Restaurant Story in 2013.
When asked what initially interested him about working with such a well-known hospitality provider such as Keith Prowse, this is what he had to say:
“It’s really exciting to work alongside Keith Prowse to create a new project, The Treehouse. It’s going to be special and it’s something I’m excited to do. We’re building it from the ground up and it’s very much a collaborative effort. We have very similar visions in terms of standards and what we want to create, which is exciting.”
We also asked Tom about the importance of cooking the right ingredients and creating the right menu for a hospitality experience like The Treehouse at such an iconic event, and here’s what he had to say:
“What we’ve created with The Treehouse at Wimbledon - the energy, the vibe, the way we’re going to serve the food - is going to add something special to The Championships, Wimbledon.” Tom went on to say: “the food being on the move and being less formal is exciting and something that the guests at The Championships are going to love. There’ll be live stations at The Treehouse, guests will get to interact with the chefs and be able to see the creative side of the food process.”
The exceptional food won’t be the only thing served up on the day. We are, of course, talking about the internationally renowned, world-class tennis.
Included with each and every package will be either Centre Court or No.1 Court seats, reserved for the day, allowing guests to absorb the inimitable atmosphere of Wimbledon and deliver a truly unforgettable day.
