The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a number of dates in the UK as part of their World Tour in summer 2022. The London Stadium will see the global phenomenon take centre stage in what will be an unforgettable and highly atmospheric experience. Supporting acts include Anderson . Paak & The Free Nationals and Thundercat, adding to this already incredible line-up.
Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante make up the Red Hot Chili Peppers as they’re known today, to which guitarist Frusciante will be making a long-awaited return after more than a decade apart from the band. The World Tour will see them perform at stadiums in London, Manchester, Paris, Dublin, Los Angeles, New York and more.
The band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 and have been producing hits ever since. Their mix of hard rock, funk and hip hop has influenced many genres, and they themselves have been influenced by music legends such as Jimi Hendrix, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley and Bob Marley.
They have won an impressive range of awards, including a total of six Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. 70 million albums and 50 million singles have been sold worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. In 1999, they released their seventh studio album, ‘Californication’, which sold over 16 million copies and remains their most successful album to date. They have become the most accomplished band in the history of alternative rock and have records for the most number one singles and the most top ten songs on the Billboard alternative charts.
