Live Music: What We've Missed Most

February 2, 2022

Dua Lipa's performance at the 2021 Brit AwardsThe past two years have presented many challenges for most industries, including the music and entertainment industry. Virtual concerts were a great alternative at the time, but they certainly didn’t generate the same feelings, emotions and atmosphere as live concerts.

As live music has now returned and has been given the green light to go ahead, what better way to celebrate than to go and see your favourite artist or live band?

The pounding music that surrounds the room, the excited cheers, the electric atmosphere and of course, the sore throats that follow from belting the lyrics out to your favourite songs. Watching world-class artists, bands and performers in person is incomparable and is often a bucket list moment to experience, particularly if that artist is so globally popular and rarely has concerts.

We’re taking a look at what makes concerts and live music events so special…be warned, this might tempt you to book some tickets!

‘Express Yourself’

Music brings out the best in people and allows you to be yourself and live in the moment as you listen to your favourite band without caring what anyone else around you think. Whether you can impress on the dancefloor, Moondance your way across the room and produce some jaw-dropping moves, you’re surrounded by people who share the same love for the act on stage, and let’s face it everyone will be engrossed in the performance on stage, not your dance moves.

When you think back to your first live concert, music festival or music awards, your memories are likely to be very vivid. Your first time pushing your way through a crowd in an attempt to get to the front row and losing your friend in the mosh pit.

Many concerts are energetic, atmospheric and more often than not give you goosebumps. An artist has the ability to put on a showstopping performance and generate memories from that moment that will last a lifetime.

Electric energy

The buzz and electric atmosphere you experience while listening to an act perform live is incomparable. The endorphins you get when you belt out your favourite lyrics and the sound of the whole arena singing together, sharing the moment makes the experience so incredible and makes you feel part of a community.

2022 is the year to get back out there and do more of what you love. With major global artists beginning to tour the world again, we can once again look forward to enjoying live music.
