Edgbaston stadium, situated just outside central Birmingham is one of cricket’s most famous Stadiums. The atmosphere created within the ground is often said to be incomparable to anywhere else, and is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Warwickshire Bears and The Birmingham Phoenix team. Edgbaston also plays host to an array of international fixtures in several formats, the most notable this year being England v Australia in the LV= Insurance Ashes Test and England v New Zealand in the IT20.
Of course, there are numerous options when considering how to get to Edgbaston Stadium and depending on where you are coming from you might want to explore a range of travel routes.

Train
Birmingham has excellent rail links, with the main station being New Street Station. Trains from all around the country including Manchester and London (Euston), take as little as 90 minutes. We recommend checking for trains through the Trainline.com, an easy user-friendly app which offers numerous options hassle free.
Car
There are many roads which lead into Birmingham from all around the country. The M40 is the most direct route for those travelling from London, it is a direct motorway with few road changes along the way resulting in a stress-free journey. The M42 and M6 are also motorways for those travelling from the midlands and beyond. Edgbaston Road runs alongside the Stadium as well as Pershore road. We would always remind guests to travel to the stadium early to allow plenty of time for traffic which you may encounter around the ground or on the way. Park and ride options are also available which offer hassle free travel, and avoids the central traffic.
Taxi
Taking a taxi to Edgbaston Stadium is a great way when travelling with numerous guests. We ask you to ensure you get out of the taxi when arriving at the stadium in a safe location, making sure the driver does not block any traffic.
Bus
Shuttle buses run from the stadium on matchdays, we advise guests to check the page here to see where they can travel from. The main pick up location is from New Street Station, connecting those by rail to the stadium with ease.
Bike
Cycling to Edgbaston is great if you live within the local area, and it also makes for an environmentally friendly alternative to other transport options. There are cycle routes on the A38 (Bristol Road) and the red valley. West Midlands Cycle Hire scheme is available throughout Birmingham and is a great option for short distance journeys you can view more about this here. Bike stands are available near the main reception for a safe and secure location to lock your bike away whilst you enjoy a wonderful day at the cricket.
Air
Birmingham Airport is only 10 miles from Edgbaston Stadium, 25-minute drive or 40-minute journey on the train - a great option for those travelling fans with flights across the world.
With easy access to Birmingham International train station from within the Airport, guests can take the train to Birmingham New Street, from their board the number 35 bus, which will then take you just a short walk away from the Stadium.
