Centurion Club has already played host to some iconic contests in golf, such as Aramco Team Series and the inaugural LIV Golf London tournament. LIV are returning to this exciting course in 2023 for ‘LIV Golf London’, where players and spectators alike will get the opportunity to experience this magnificent 18-hole course and what it has to offer for all. If the return of such a huge tournament in golf does not showcase the impressive stature this course has already acquired, then what else will?
So, onto the course, Centurion Club is an 18-hole course which will test the very best golfers in a fun but charming way and is situated on a 250-acre site. The opening five holes offer players and spectators to feel as though they have been transported to a vast forest of pine woodland with the holes being cut through the trees. Teeing off a stone’s throw away from the clubhouse, the first hole is a long Par 5 which offers a straining bend to test the driving ability of golfers, with views of the first hole from Club 54 which is on offer at LIV Golf London. This is a common theme throughout the course with seven Par 5’s when playing off the regular tees, with numerous tee boxes elevated throughout the course. To cover some of the main features the course has on offer there are four water holes and a whopping 80 bunkers, with numerous holes played alongside tall woodland - offering a unique experience. The twelfth hole is a personal favourite of any who have played the course, offering a windy approach to the green. Arriving on the green requires players to get over the pond to a wonderfully sloping green with an array of bunkers to avoid. This hole tests the very best golfers and is one of the most rewarding holes if success is found on the right side of the water!
The eighteenth offers an excellent finale to any round at the Centurion Club, a long hole which provides players little margin for error. Arriving on the green requires excellent accuracy and ensuring that you avoid playing to the right where a large lake dramatically meets the green. Overlooking the clubhouse as you walk on to the green to hopefully end your final hole in style with a quality putt. Club 54 offers guests an opportunity to get excellent views across the eighteenth green as some o golfs biggest names walk down to finish of their round at the Centurion Club.
