What is UTS

UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown) is the world’s newest, innovative, fast and furious tennis league that is a complete reinvention of the game as we commonly know it. It’s a year-round league that takes place in a number of locations all across the globe and is lively, fun and gets the crowd on their feet!

The format was designed to appeal to a more engaged generation of tennis fans and capture the younger demographic’s attention to get them interested in the sport from an earlier age through its interactive, informal and fast-paced nature.

How does it work?

The tournament consists of 40-minute intense matches played between two players (singles tennis).

UTS cards put a focus upon the players strategy during the game and aim to increase suspense! There is also live coaching and mid-match interviews with players and their coaches, allowing fans to get inside the player’s heads and see what it’s like to be them in a match – experiencing their heightened emotions.

A lighter atmosphere and more informal code of conduct encourages players to carry themselves freely and allow the crowd to see their personalities – there’s no poker faces here!

• Matches comprising of 4 quarters of 8 minutes each
• Live coaching and video is livestreamed to fans
• Mid-match interviews with players
• Decisive points and sudden deaths

Who started it?

Founded by Patrick Mouratoglou – a world-renowned tennis coach who has worked with the likes of the legend Serena Williams, Simona Halep and Holger Rune. Patrick has also been a mentor to Stefanos Tsitsipas and Coco Gauff.
