History of the Men’s Six Nations
The tournament has a rich and illustrious history, being known as the biggest rugby tournament in the northern hemisphere. Originally known as the Home Nations, the tournament was first played in 1883 between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, with the latter three being the only ones to compete in all 127. France joined in 1910, and Italy in 2000. England have claimed the most Six Nations wins, totalling 29, but Wales are not far behind with 28, France

with 18, Ireland 15, Scotland 15 and Italy have no tournament victories.
When are the Men’s Six Nations 2024 fixtures?
The 2024 Guinness Six Nations are taking place from 2 February to 16 March 2024, which will see the following Six Nations go head-to-head for the title: England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy. France will be opening and closing the tournament with the first and final fixtures.
