The world’s most beloved classical music artist is coming to the UK for a night of unmissable music on Friday 5 July 2024 – Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

He has sold over 75 million records worldwide, performed in front of millions of people and has worked with the some of the world’s best artists and is now headlining at American Express presents BST Hyde Park this summer. It’s a highlight event in the summer music calendar, offering some of the world’s greatest artists right on our doorsteps; case-in-point, Andrea will be joined on-stage at BST by Hans Zimmer, Seal, Zucchero, Katherine Jenkins, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Myleene Klass, Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, Loren Allred, Andrea Griminelli, Rusanda Panfili, Luca Micheletti, Joaquina plus both Virginia & Matteo Bocelli.

About Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli signed his first recording contract in 1994 after performing many evenings in piano bars and competing in local singing contests. Growing up with a huge passion for music, he began piano lessons at age six and learnt the flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar and drums – to name a few!

He performed his first concert in a small village near where he was born and won his first singing competition when he was just 14. His interests took a slight turn when he went to study law at the University of Pisa, but he continued his passion by performing in piano bars during this time. He then pursued the career of a tenor.

Bocelli flew to fame when the great Luciano Pavarotti got his hands on his demo tape through Italian rock star Zucchero and was later invited on tour with Zucchero. Best known for his hit “Time To Say Goodbye” with Sarah Brightman, the song became one of the most successful singles in history. Bocelli has also worked with many other talented artists including Céline Dion, Tony Bennett, Katherine Jenkins, Ellie Goulding and many more.
