Glynn is well known in the Birmingham area for Purnell’s Restaurant – a Michelin-starred fine-dining restaurant in the city centre, but some of you might have also seen him feature on shows including The Great British Food Revival, The Secret Chef, Saturday Kitchen and My Kitchen Rules UK.

Glynn will take to the kitchen of B5 for the England v Pakistan, IT20 Match – 25 May 2024, England v West Indies, Test Match – 26-29 July 2024 and the iconic Vitality T20 Finals Day – 14 September 2024.

Ahead of these three exciting match days, we wanted to give you a sneak peek on what culinary delights we have in store for our guests ahead of service! We have picked out our favourite dishes on the menu and why we loved them so much. Please note these are subject to change or amendments – although we hope not as they are pretty perfect the way they are!
A vegan berry eton mess created by chef and tv personality Glynn Purnell that will be served to guests in the Warwickshire Suite at Edgbaston Stadium for match days in 2024

England v Pakistan

Starter: Passionfruit glazed carrot, ras el hanout, red vein sorrel
Why we picked it: We absolutely loved the combination of the sweet carrots and the ras el hanout spicing – it was fresh, sweet, filling and overall tasted great!

England v West Indies Days 1& 2

Starter: Lobster, heritage tomato salad, sea herbs
Why we picked it: We loved the idea of using a premium ingredient like lobster for Days 1 and 2 of the Test – it matches the prestige of the event and the facility, plus it tasted great!

England v West Indies Days 3 & 4

Dessert: Vegan mixed berry “mess”
Why we picked it: What an explosion of flavour – it is beautiful to look at, tasted great with the freshness of the fruit, crunchiness of the honeycomb and lightness of the meringue. We’re confident this will be a real crowd pleaser!

T20 Finals Day

Main Course: Roast fillet of beef, truffle rosti potato, marmite glazed king oyster mushroom
Why we picked it: One word – delicious. There really isn’t anything more to say on this dish – it looked great, tasted amazing and we can’t wait for our guests to give it a try!
