The Red Roses
The Red Roses (the England Women’s team) first fixture is on the 24th March against Italy. This fixture will provide key insights into how prepared the Red Roses are for the tournament, and what kind of form the players are in ahead of their home match at Twickenham Stadium.
England Women will host Ireland Women on their home turf at
Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 20 April, which will almost guarantee to be a high-action, exciting and intense head-to-head.
The historic match against France in the 2023 Six Nations saw an incredible, world record-breaking crowd of 58,498 at Twickenham Stadium – the highest attendance at a women’s rugby union match ever, exceeding the 42,579 at the World Cup the year before. This immense crowd witnessed the Red Roses claim the Grand Slam title, winning the match 38-33 after narrowly holding onto the lead despite France scoring all of their points in the second half of the match. This was also the first ever standalone fixture at Twickenham for the England women’s team. The Red Roses claimed their 17th Six Nations Grand Slam in 2023, their fifth successive year lifting the tournament’s trophy. Can they hold on to the title for a 6th year in a row, or will a new nation fight to claim the victory?
