Former England rugby union player and British & Irish Lions icon, Guscott was inducted to the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2016 after his successful career, playing for Bath from 1984 to 2000 and earning 65 caps for England. Following his retirement, Guscott embarked on a second career as a respected broadcaster, pundit and rugby columnist.
Guests will recognise former England and British & Irish Lion as the lead presenter across BT Sport and now TNT’s rugby union coverage. Bayfield made his England debut in 1991 going on to win 34 caps and was a member of England’s 1995 Rugby World Cup squad.
Former dual-code England international winger, Chris Ashton, won 44 caps for England scoring an impressive 20 tries and was joint top try scorer at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. In April 2022 he became the first player in Premiership Rugby history to score 100 tries with his trademark “swallow-dive” try celebration acquiring legendary status.
Former Red Roses international Rochelle 'Rocky' Clark represented England at the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2017 Women's Rugby World Cups, earning her 50th cap in 2010 making her England's second most-capped player at the time. Rocky earned her 137th cap in 2018, at the time making her the most capped player in England international history (both men and women). She is currently a forwards coach for Saracens ladies.
Former international Tom Wood won 50 caps for England over a 11-year period and was a member of their 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cup squads. The combative backrower made over 200 appearances for Northampton Saints and was named the Premiership’s player of the season in 2011.
This former international won 78 caps on the wing for England and was a member of their 2015, 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup squads. Famed for his diligent pre-match preparation and dedication to training, he’s second on England’s all-time try scorer list with 36 tries.
Globally respected former international referee Wayne Barnes will be a familiar face to our regular guests. Barnes’ stellar career with the whistle culminated with refereeing the 2023 Rugby World Cup final in France.
Broadcaster Ed Jackson will be a recognisable face for many rugby fans. Often the man with the mic on the touchline, the presenter is a former England U16 and U18 team captain and has also represented a number of professional clubs, most notably Bath and Wasps, before having to retire in 2017.
Rugby commentator Nick Heath has been a lead commentator for the Autumn Nations Series and both the Men’s and Women’s Guinness Six Nations since 2017. Nick is also chair of the Rugby Union Writers’ Club and is a longstanding advocate of women’s rugby.
