Alcaraz Confirmed to Return to cinch Championships 2024

2023 Queen’s and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz confirmed to return to the cinch Championships for 2024

Fan favourite and current World No. 2 is confirmed to be returning to The Queen’s Club, for this year’s edition of the cinch Championships.

The Spaniard lifted the silverware on his first ever visit to The Queen’s Club, located in West Kensington, in 2023 at just 20-years old, as he denied current World No.9 Alex de Minaur the champion status, in straight sets.

What’s more, this was Alcaraz’s first ATP title on grass; he continued his British grass-court winning streak two weeks later, as he triumphed over Novak Djokovic to win his first ever Wimbledon title, rightfully earning him top spot on the ATP tour for the duration of the summer last year.

Alcaraz returns, in a bid to become the ninth player in history to win back-to-back titles, the third in the Open era to do so, at the Queen’s Club. Alcaraz said to the LTA, whom Keith Prowse are an official partner of, “I’m excited to be heading back to the LTA’s cinch Championships this year. Winning the title in 2023 was very special for me and the perfect preparation for Wimbledon. I really enjoyed playing on the British grass courts and look forward to competing again this summer.”

 

The full entry list will be confirmed at the end of May, with strong hopes for other tennis stars to head to the prestigious and historic Queen’s Club, located in West London, this summer.
