The Experience Experts Served

It’s a club that is steeped in history. Intimate yet perfectly prepped to welcome a host of global tennis stars, it’s the place to watch the pros up close and personal. The die-hard tennis fans, the ultimate foodies, those wanting to impress…
But, what goes on behind the scenes involves expansive planning and preparation to deliver our experiences, and our teams work year-round to ensure every little detail has been considered.

With five hospitality experiences on offer in 2024 – and some exciting additions for 2025 to come (don’t stop reading yet!) we have plenty to dive into!

Our smash-ing highlights include witnessing British No.1 Jack Draper defeat reigning champion and World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz (no hate against Alcaraz – we love him – we’re just backing the Brits!) - and of course watching Tommy Paul be crowned the champion!

Club Lounge

A Champagne and canapé reception, award-winning fine-dining experience and impeccable service – Club Lounge offered the ultimate premium experience to mark any occasion. The intimate space is great for couples or small groups of friends but also for those entertaining in style on a larger table. It feels classy, elegant and offers a slice of luxury. The exclusive outdoor terrace is great to watch the players warm up on the practice courts below and enjoy the summer sun. And, there was an exclusive appearance by former British tennis star and commentator, Annabel Croft!

Now, being in the hospitality and experience industry, we see many menus from our event food tastings. Club Lounge is always one that stands out and offers a modern gastronomic experience, featuring a four-course intricate lunch. Highlights include the Rolled Tuna Tataki with Avocado and English Wasabi, the Aged Beef Carpaccio with Parsnip Purée and the Sea Beat Croquette and Lobster Bisque. And for afternoon tea (accompanied by a live jazz band of course) the Passionfruit and Lime Layer Cake, Sussex ‘Hungry Monk’ Banoffee Pie and Scones and Strawberries. Let’s just say we were jealous of the guests tucking in!

The Roof Garden

Our experience that exudes a summer of tennis. With blush floral décor and pastel interiors, live music, cheese and dessert stations and exclusive outdoor seating, this was another excellent experience this year.

One of our personal favourite elements was the Roof Garden balcony that has an outdoor bar overlooking the practice courts. Guests can walk out from their tables, pick up a refreshingly cold glass of Pimm’s from the outdoor bar and soak up the warm weather watching some of the world’s top players warm up. Carlos Alcaraz, Pimm’s and sunshine is our idea of a good day out!

The three-course lunch included dishes such as Confit Duck Terrine with Spring Onion and Lovage Jam, Roasted Cod with Brown Shrimp, Sea Vegetable Potato Cake, Pernod Velouté and Sorrel, and Milk Chocolate and Miso Delice with Rhubarb and White Balsamic Compote. And afternoon tea was no exception – with an array of cakes to choose from, along with premium sandwiches and strawberries and cream – it was the perfect end to a culinary treat!

Love 15

This informal and fan-favourite experience had a new feature for 2024 – the exclusive outdoor courtyard garden in Love Fifteen. Guests enjoyed taking their drinks out to relax on the sofas before enjoying afternoon tea and the inclusive bar.

The three-course summer lunch is a great way to start the day at Queen’s – starting off with the Smoked Chicken with Whipped Ricotta, Nectarines and Sunflower Seed Dressing, on to Confit Belly of Pork, Nduja, Red Pepper Pipperade and finishing off with Fetherbed Strawberry Cheesecake, Strawberry and Lemongrass Gel.

But that’s not it; afternoon tea is enjoyed by guests in between watching the tennis on Centre Court. Featuring Hog Roast Sausage Rolls, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Sandwiches, Raspberry and Elderflower Cupcakes and more – it’s perfect way to recharge before heading back to Centre Court!

The Matches

Now onto the all-important action on court. 2024 served up some monumental matches and shock victories, giving the fans even more to get excited about.

We can’t forget to mention Jack Draper’s spell-bounding win over the 2023 reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz! What a performance. The final game saw a serious fight fought by Alcaraz as he pushed to the very end to try and nail down a win, but it just wasn’t enough for the Spaniard. However, for the British rising star - Jack Draper – he experienced the biggest win of his career, beating the Wimbledon 2023 champion and World No.2 in straight sets.

Now onto the winner. Introducing your 2024 Queen’s Club Champion….Tommy Paul!
He entered the tournament as the fifth seed and finished as the King of Queen’s with a 6-1 7-6 victory over the Italian, Lorenzo Musetti, in just one hour 28 minutes. His victory made him the first American to win the historic tournament since 2010 when Sam Querrey lifted the trophy. He’s now following the likes of tennis greats John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and Jimmy Connors.
