About the Laver Cup

The Laver Cup is one of the most exciting additions to modern tennis. First held in 2017, the tournament was co-founded by TEAM8 (Roger Federer’s management company), Tennis Australia and the USTA, with the aim of creating a Ryder Cup-style event for tennis. Named in honour of legendary Australian player Rod Laver, the competition celebrates past and present icons while showcasing the sport in a dynamic new format.
