Prepare to be transported back to the “glory days” at the Goodwood Motor Circuit for Revival weekend. This iconic celebration offers something for motorsport enthusiasts and vintage lovers alike; with non-stop entertainment on and off the track.
It’s not long until lights out for this unique weekend celebrating all things motorsport and heritage from Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September, so here’s everything you need to know about Goodwood Revival.
Delivering more overtakes in one weekend than the entire Formula 1 season, the near £1 billion worth of cars and motorcycles hitting the track are sure to enthral and entertain the biggest of motorsport fans.
If that wasn’t enough, the Revival allows you to get close enough to smell the fuel, and chat to the mechanics – access that you typically can’t get at other motorsport events. The weekend of historic racing also brings out the big names, with the likes of Jenson Button joining the grid, amongst other celebrated drivers and famous faces of motorsport.
Goodwood Revival celebrates the original lifespan of the Goodwood Motor Circuit from 1948-1966; opening the door for various vintage looks from over the decades. While it’s not mandatory to dress up (unless you’re able to access the Paddock which requires a jacket and tie for the gents, and a dress or suit for the ladies), the weekend offers the opportunity to celebrate the golden era and dressing the part makes the experience just that extra bit more magical.
Choose your era, 40s, 50s or 60s – and get sourcing your pieces! Pinterest has some great inspiration, and you never know what you might find at your local charity shop. While style is top of the priority list, don’t forget to find something comfortable.
This year Goodwood celebrates 80 years of Vespa, which will be honoured through the theme La Dolce Vita. The weekend’s off-track entertainment is set against this theme, celebrating the romance, style and passion of Italy.
Follow the sound of the live music and get your dancing shoes on, or head over to the Goodwood Revival High Street and find the shopping lanes for a spot of vintage discovery, and admire the many rare machines on display at the Revival Car Show.
There’s already so much to enjoy across the weekend, and you can top it all off with a premium hospitality experience for yourself and your guests.
Step straight into the era of Goodwood Motor Circuit’s glory days and become part of the story in the Mess, or perhaps get the best viewing position of the famous Goodwood chicane in the Salvadori.
Whichever package you choose, you’re sure to experience one of the most iconic motor racing events in the world, and an unmissable sports and cultural event on the British calendar.
